I am considering earning a Master’s degree. Will I be assigned an advisor to make sure that I am on the right track?

Yes. The institution from which you earn a degree will assign you an advisor with whom you can connect throughout your course of study.

I don’t want to earn a Master’s degree. I would like to take a “concentration” of coursework which deepens my knowledge in a particular area. Can I do that?

Yes. PLS and our college/university partners have created a number of “concentrations” which will allow you to become deeply learned in a particular area. Typically, these “concentrations” are comprised of five courses in a field of study and do NOT lead to a license or a certification. They include topics such as: differentiated instruction, classroom management, online teaching, teaching with technologies, 21st century curriculum, coaching/mentoring, elementary curriculum, and middle school science and math.
